Welcome, we’re here to help
You have found a place that truly cares. It takes a lot of courage to start looking for support. Whether someone you trust suggested you check us out, or you’ve been quietly searching for a while — you’re in the right place.
LivLove is a relational therapy clinic in Owen Sound and Port Elgin, and we see clients virtually across Ontario. What we do here goes deeper than managing symptoms. We work with the whole person. With couples. With families. With anyone who’s ready to stop managing and actually shift something.
If you’re here, some part of you already knows.
You don’t have to be in crisis to deserve support.
If you are here, chances are all the things that you have tried on your own just isn’t making things that much better. Maybe you’ve been holding it together for so long it’s started to feel like a full-time job. Maybe something happened and you’re still not okay, even though everyone around you seems to have moved on. Maybe your relationship used to feel easy and now it doesn’t. Maybe your child is struggling and you’re doing everything right and it’s still not enough. You want something else, but you’re not sure how to get there. You may not even know exactly what else is possible.
Whatever brought you here — you’re not broken. But something isn’t working anymore. And you already know that.
Our belief is that you are here because you are wanting something to be different. It’s our job to help guide the way and help transform whatever is in the way of creating that difference. We believe you get to have the life you always wanted. We focus on a relational approach, because ultimately we are all in this together.
What people bring to us when they’re ready to stop managing it themselves
The woman who gives everything.
You love your people. You’re also running on empty in a way that a vacation won’t fix. You’ve gotten so good at taking care of everyone else that you’ve almost stopped noticing you have needs too. Some days you don’t recognize yourself. You wonder if this is just what it is now. It isn’t. But you can’t think or “do” your way out of this one.
The man who’s done figuring it out alone.
You’ve handled things your whole life. That’s worked, mostly. But there’s a part of your relationship — or your inner life — where handling things isn’t cutting it anymore. Most people wait longer than they should. You didn’t. That matters.
The high-functioning person whose anxiety runs the show.
From the outside you look like you have it together. You do, in all the ways people can see. But inside there’s a version of you that’s always scanning, always preparing, always waiting for something to go wrong. It’s been going on so long it doesn’t even feel like anxiety anymore. It just feels like you. But you are much more than that.
The parent watching their child struggle.
You’ve changed your approach. You’ve read things. You’ve stayed up trying to figure out what you’re missing. And your kid is still shutting down, or exploding, or pulling away. You’re not failing. But something isn’t landing and you can feel it every day. And that’s such a helpless feeling as a parent.
The person whose life no longer fits.
The relationship ended or the career shifted. You built your whole life around something and now it has stopped making sense. You’re not falling apart, but you’re not okay either. You’re somewhere in between. The beauty is, you can heal the old to create the new.
The couple who’s lost each other.
You still love each other. Or you think you do, underneath all of it. Maybe you’re fighting the same fight with nothing ever really resolved. Maybe you’ve gone quiet — not peaceful quiet, distant quiet. Maybe one of you keeps reaching and the other keeps pulling back. Maybe the physical piece has gone missing and nobody’s talking about it. If both of you are in, you’re not a lost cause. You’re a couple who hasn’t had the right support yet.
What happens if you don’t get support?
The thing about staying stuck is that it just keeps getting harder. The grief that doesn’t get allowed gets heavier. The worry that gets hidden starts making decisions for you — which conversations to skip, which risks are too big. The relationship that goes on autopilot, quietly, slowly, until one day the distance feels permanent. The child who struggles without support learns to manage alone. And that becomes its own thing to untangle later. You don’t have to wait until it gets worse.
What life can look like after
Clients we work with describe a kind of relief they didn’t know was possible. Not that everything is perfect — but that they feel like themselves again. Or sometimes like themselves for the first time.
The woman who came in exhausted from giving more than she received leaves with a clearer sense of what she actually needs — and the groundedness to ask for it.
The couple who came in barely speaking leaves with a language for each other. Not a perfect relationship — a real one. One they chose from a place of acceptance.
The person in the middle of a transition stops moving just to avoid standing still. Clarity becomes a place of happiness.
The man who came in not quite knowing what he needed leaves knowing himself better than he ever has. He might not always find the words right away. But he’s not shutting down anymore, and that keeps him connected.
The child who was shutting down starts opening back up. Starts reaching for their parents again, because they feel understood.
Honestly, it does feel like magic. But it’s not. It’s what happens when you give yourself a chance, and when the right support meets someone who’s ready.
Getting started is simpler than you think
Step 1 — Request an appointment
Fill out the appointment request form on our website. Our admin team responds within 24 hours Monday to Friday. We’ll match you with the right available clinician — or you can choose — and send you an intake package to complete before your first session.
Step 2 — Free 15–20 minute phone consultation (optional)
Not ready to commit to a full session yet? You don’t have to. We offer a free call so you can ask questions, share a little about what’s going on, and get a feel for whether LivLove is the right fit. No pressure, no obligation.
Step 3 — Your first session
Your first session is about getting to know you. You don’t need to have it figured out before you arrive. Your clinician will ask about what brought you in, what you’re hoping for, and a little about your history. Most people leave feeling lighter than they expected — simply because they finally said it out loud to someone who knows how to listen.
Step 4 — Ongoing work at your pace
Some people come weekly, some every two weeks, some once a month. We figure it out as a team. It’s your life and you get to decide how therapy fits in.
Pricing — straightforward and worth it

$125–$200

We see clients in person at our Owen Sound and Port Elgin locations, and virtually throughout Ontario.

What our clients say
We can’t use actual testimonials, because that would breach confidentiality — which is the ethical cornerstone we stand on. The following are composite voices representing real client experiences. Names and identifying details have been changed.
You’re in good hands
LivLove has been operating since 2019 and has supported more than 800 clients across individual, couples, family, and child therapy.
Our team includes clinicians with 25+ years of experience alongside newer therapists who bring fresh training and a lot of drive. All of our clinicians are Registered in good standing with their governing body (CPRO for psychotherapists, OCSWSSW for Social Workers or CPBAO for psychologists), or are working toward it. Our newer clinicians are on that path — and honestly, that drive is part of why we hired them. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
We’re a clinic with a culture, one that takes the quality of the therapeutic relationship and every relationship seriously, because we know that’s where the actual change happens.
The word of mouth thing…
We don’t advertise much. Most people who find LivLove were sent here by someone they trust — a friend who came through something hard, a doctor or colleague who knows our work, a family member who finally found the right help.
That’s not an accident, it’s what what happens when the work we do together is real. When we get to the heart of the matter and real lasting change supports your new way in life.
Over 80% of our new clients come to us through a personal recommendation. If you’re here because someone you know suggested LivLove, they probably told you it was different. We hope you’ll find out why.
